When Indonesia was standing, there is a very interesting thing, namely the term "independence". With the words used in different usage, then gained some sense and meaning. The word independent means loose or free.
Today, the word independence was also used by security forces, such as freedom from arrest or could be interpreted freely. However, the word freedom is more than free. For a nation, free means free from colonialism. It is used to show the political independence, economic and rest.
Economically independent, meaning not at all dependent on other countries in all respects. Politically, it means that apart from the occupation of other parties. For example, the escape of Indonesia from Dutch colonial opinion so that our nation is able to quickly develop a political culture, economics, and others own.
A sentence like to maintain the independence of the country has achieved, whether through war or by way of negotiations, referring to aspects of independence. This was used by the Constitution of 1945 us.
When the deceased Raja Ali Haji of Riau Malays Grammar change the book, so he purposely has been "liberating" the language of the Malays Belanda.Buku language becomes forerunner Indonesia.Lahirnya birth of language as a lingua franca Melayu language, became the forerunner of the growth awareness of the existing tribes in the country to build a bond of nationality.
This can be seen with the establishment of Boedi Oetomo (BO), which became one of the core building our nation. Nevertheless, the spirit became one of this nation has seen in our history since 8.Padahal century, the Majapahit kingdom itself a new born in the year 1293 AD.
In the 8th century AD, a Buddhist clerics from China called Fahien have reported the existence of the spirit of respecting differences in Sriwijaya in South Sumatra. Two centuries later, people Sriwijaya invaded the island of Java through the old port of Pekalongan. On the way to climb Mount Dieng, they were met by the people Kalinga Hindu.
The Hindus were left unharmed. Sriwijaya troops in the region are continuing to Muntilan, which now becomes part of Magelang District. There they built a temple called Borobudur. Most of them lived at Borobudur and partly to the region of Yogyakarta today.
In the new area, they founded the kingdom of Kalinga Buddhist and founded Prambanan, a Hindu-Buddhist temple which immediately bullied by the Hindus and Buddhists. They regard it as religion "hodgepodge." Under the leadership of King Darmawangsa, they move from Prambanan to Kediri.
Two centuries later, they moved again to the kingdom in the north city of Malang Singasari there sekarang.Di people founded the Hindu-Buddhist kingdom of Majapahit was supported by the Chinese navy, who was then almost completely converted to Islam. From here we can see that the principle of nationality can not be replaced by anything.
However, now born fundamentalist groups who invite us all leave the national spirit that has united us as a nation since centuries ago. Actually, once strengthened by the 1945 Constitution, we have determined to achieve political independence, economic, educational, and others.
This should always be recalled as an important part of our history as a nation. This is the capital of our nation to embrace the life of the future, is not it?
